The Trustees of Sir Joseph Williamson’s Mathematical School The Trustees have undertaken a review of their constitution. Part of the constitution provides for a number of external bodies to nominate suitable person to stand as a trustee. The Trustees would like to add the Old Williamsonian Club as a new nominating body and would be grateful if you would confirm that your Club would be agreeable to accepting that position. The position would involve the OW Club in submitting to the Trustees a suitable person (which need not be from the OW Club) who agrees to stand as a trustee, for the Trustee’s approval. If the nomination is approved by the Trustees, the person would stand as a Trustee for a period of 4 years ( subject to earlier resignation or removal) and at the end of the 4 year period, and every 4 year cycle from then on, the OW Club would be asked to nominate another suitable person. At this stage, the effective date of the new constitution has not been decided but is likely to be 1 September 2012, the start of the next financial year, with any trustee attending the first Full Body Meeting after that on 19 November 2012. Nomination, proposed and seconded, should be submitted to the OWC Secretary for consideration under “Any Other Business” at the AGM arranged for Wednesday 14th March.
